Requirements, To Qualify?

To apply, you’ll need:

A Bachelor’s Degree (in Any Field

A bachelor’s degree is a key requirement for obtaining a work visa in China. The good news is that your degree can be in any field – it doesn’t have to be related to education or English. Why is this required? The Chinese government mandates that foreign teachers hold at least a bachelor’s degree to ensure a high standard of education and professionalism. What if I’m still studying? If you’re in your final year of university, you can still apply! Just ensure you’ll graduate before your intended start date in China.

Fluency in English (Both Written and Spoken)

As an English teacher, you’ll need to demonstrate strong proficiency in the language. This includes: Clear Communication: The ability to speak and explain concepts in a way that students can understand. Strong Writing Skills: You’ll need to prepare lesson plans, assignments, and assessments. Accent Neutrality: While a Ugandan accent is perfectly fine, you should be able to speak clearly and at a moderate pace for students to follow. Do I need to be a native English speaker? No! Fluency is what matters most. Many successful English teachers in China are non-native speakers who are passionate and skilled communicators.

You could be teaching a variety of age groups, depending on your placement. Most teachers work with:

No problem! While learning a few basic phrases is helpful, you don’t need to speak Chinese to teach English in China. Your classes will be conducted entirely in English, and many schools provide bilingual staff to assist with day-to-day tasks.

The cost of living in China is generally affordable, especially with the housing allowance provided. Here’s a rough breakdown:

  • Meals: A meal at a local restaurant can cost as little as $ 2–5.
  • Transportation: Public transportation is cheap and efficient, with subway rides costing around $0.50.

Applying is easy! Just follow these steps:

  1. Fill out the online application form on our website.
  2. Schedule a physical meeting for full assessment to determine if you are ready for the process
  3. You deposit 50% of the input, so that we put your paper work straight, eg enroll you for TEFL/TOFL, getting all your documents verified by the Chinese embassy in Kampala, these documents  include : Foreign Ministry verified academic documents, Interpol letter, Online verifiable TEFL/TESOL Certificate.
  4. If all paperwork is done to satisfaction, we submit your qualification to different Chinese schools for placement, you attend an online interview to discuss your qualifications and preferences.
  5. Receive your job offer and start preparing for your adventure in China!

For the entire Process you will incur a total of  12 Million UGX (Approx. 3,300 USDs), this includes , TEFL/TOFL Certification, work permit and a visa, Job placement,  roundtrip air ticket to China, Proper Paperwork and Consultation etc.

The payment  Schedule is broken down into 2 phases, where you deposit 50% on start up then you complete the 50% while you have your visa ready.
