Do I need teaching experience to apply?
No, we provide full training for all our teachers. This includes comprehensive training and ongoing support, besides helping you complete and attain your TEFL/TESOL certification. Gain international teaching experience that will boost your resume and open doors to future opportunities.
What are the salary and benefits?
You’ll earn a competitive salary, generous monthly salary between $1k-3k/month, a work visa with benefits like housing allowance and flight reimbursement, fully paid summer/winter vacation etc.
In addition to your salary, you’ll receive benefits such as:
- Housing Allowance: Free or subsidized accommodation to reduce your living costs.
- Flight Reimbursement: Your round-trip airfare to China will be covered.

How long is the contract?
Contracts are typically 1 year long, with the option to renew if you’re enjoying your experience and want to stay longer. This gives you plenty of time to immerse yourself in Chinese culture, build relationships with your students, and explore the country.
Will I receive help with my visa and flights?
Yes! We understand that the visa and travel process can be overwhelming, so we’ll guide you every step of the way. Here’s what we provide:
- Visa Assistance: We’ll help you gather the necessary documents and walk you through the application process.
- Flight Reimbursement: Your round-trip flight to China will be covered, so you don’t have to worry about upfront costs.
- Airport Pickup: When you arrive in China, a representative will meet you at the airport and help you settle into your new home.
Where in China will I be placed?
You’ll be placed in reputable schools located in major cities across China, such as:

What age group will I be teaching?
You could be teaching a variety of age groups, depending on your placement. Most teachers work with:
- Young Learners (Ages 5–12): Fun, interactive classes focused on basic English skills.
- Teenagers (Ages 13–18): Helping students prepare for exams or improve their conversational English.
- Adults: Teaching business English or general English to professionals.
What is the teaching schedule like?
Teaching schedules vary depending on the school, but most teachers work 15–25 hours per week in the classroom. This leaves you with plenty of free time to explore China, take on private tutoring opportunities, or simply relax.
What if I don’t speak Chinese?
No problem! While learning a few basic phrases is helpful, you don’t need to speak Chinese to teach English in China. Your classes will be conducted entirely in English, and many schools provide bilingual staff to assist with day-to-day tasks.
What is the cost of living in China?
The cost of living in China is generally affordable, especially with the housing allowance provided. Here’s a rough breakdown:
- Meals: A meal at a local restaurant can cost as little as $ 2–2.5.
- Transportation: Public transportation is cheap and efficient, with subway rides costing around $0.50.
- Entertainment: Movies, gym memberships, and other activities are reasonably priced.
How do I apply?
Applying is easy! Just follow these steps:
- Fill out the online application form on our website.
- Schedule a physical meeting for full assessment to determine if you are ready for the process
- You deposit 50% of the input, so that we put your paper work straight, eg enroll you for TEFL/TOFL, getting all your documents verified by the Chinese embassy in Kampala, these documents include : Foreign Ministry verified academic documents, Interpol letter, Online verifiable TEFL/TESOL Certificate.
- If all paperwork is done to satisfaction, we submit your qualification to different Chinese schools for placement, you attend an online interview to discuss your qualifications and preferences.

How Much is the monetary Input
For the entire Process you will incur a total of 12 Million UGX (Approx. 3,300 USDs), this includes , TEFL/TOFL Certification, work permit and a visa, Job placement, roundtrip air ticket to China, Proper Paperwork and Consultation etc.
The payment Schedule is broken down into 2 phases, where you deposit 50% on start up then you complete the 50% while you have your visa ready.
